Level 4: The Harold | Saturdays 11a-130p
The final course of the core curriculum focuses explicitly on The Harold. Students will unpack each component of the form and the goals, options, and effective methods therein. They will analyze how scenic energy and pace affects the show as a whole and how expanding and combining comedic concepts makes the show cohesive, compelling, and entertaining. This course has an additional class performance between Weeks 7 & 8.

Instructor Bio | Ashley has been improvising for 12 years now. She trained at ImprovBoston and has worked at both ImprovBoston and Union Comedy as a teacher, director, performer, and facilitator. Her simplified improv motto is that if you are having fun on stage, the audience will have fun watching you on stage. She loves any show where she gets to wear a costume or dance and is terrible at writing about herself in third person. Her biggest dream is to one day be part of a heist crew.
Union Comedy School offers 4 levels of classes focused on long-form improv, plus a variety of unique advanced workshops. There is a place for all students from beginner to advanced. If you're not sure where to start, just ask us! We love talking improv.
